From the middle of June to the middle of August, gear for climbers (without an instructor) can only be rented after 2 PM. It may be possible to start before 2 PM on request to the Loen Active shop.

Experienced climbers with private equipment must start climbing after 2 PM in the summer season. And register in the Loen Active shop before starting with their name and phone number, and pay a maintenance fee of NOK 200 per person.

If you have no previous experience with climbing or via ferrata, you are not allowed to climb Via Ferrata Loen on your own, and we recommend you to book with an instructor. All commercial activity in Via Ferrata Loen should be through Loen Active.
