The charming mountain farm Breng is located next to Lake Lovatnet. In ancient times this was a farm, but later it became more a recreational place for the locals from the farm Sæten. Traditional farming went on until around the 1950’s. In the 1970s, this buldings was about to decay. Thanks to the great efforts of the owners and public support Breng was restored. Originally there were 14 buildings, today there are 13 of them.

Breng has been mentioned in a number of old books, the oldest dating back to 1340. Many of the stories describe how the force of nature has made an impact on the life here.

Today Breng has become a popular bathing place for visitors and locals. Breng attracts tourists all year round that want to take a picture of the well-maintained cultural landscape, and the beautiful buildings.
